Day 1:
Arrive Zanzibar + Dinner At Renowned Restaurant Emerson On Hurumzi
On arrival in Zanzibar, you’ll be met by your driver and transferred to Stone Town to check in at Emerson on Hurumzi.
When you step through the doors at Hurumzi, it’s inevitable you experience the soul of Zanzibar. Built in the 1870’s by a powerful merchant, it is unique and all rooms are decadently decorated to give you an idea of what Zanzibar must have been like in its heyday.
Dinner tonight is on us, and what a truly magical experience you have to look forward to! Slip off your shoes before stepping under the silk canopy fluttering in the wind inside the open air restaurant. The floor is covered in gorgeous Arab rugs and traditional Zanzibarian pillows line the walls of the restaurant and beautiful teakwood small tables sit in front of you.
Expansive 360 degree views of Stone Town and the Indian Ocean can be seen from any angle.

Wander through the town to the House of Wonders, the former slave market for East African Slave trade, and the Arab Fort amongst others. It is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. The architectural style of Stone town buildings is a unique mixture of various influences and culture.
You will then drive to the spice farms where you will learn and taste all the extravagant spices this island is known for and also includes a delicious traditional Swahili lunch which will be served in a local home near the spice farms.

Day 5:
Fumba Beach
The lodge is far away from all the busy tourist areas which makes it a perfect venue to enjoy the tranquillity, and dream, swim, dive, walk amongst tropical gardens and has many secluded spots to escape on your own.
The lodge is located in the Menai Bay Conservation Area. This is both a large marine haven and an eco-project. The Fumba peninsula is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty since 1998, by the World Wild Life Federation.
While at the lodge you could choose optional activities. Join the crew for a sail on a “ngalawa”- a local canoe with outriggers which has been carved from a single mango tree. Picture yourself snorkelling (instructors to advise/help you), dolphins, coral reefs, sandbanks, swimming in the lagoon and sumptuous seafood lunch. This is a full day out and loads of fun.
