Day 1


Transfer to your accommodation and enjoy some time to relax and freshen up before your sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River. Pick up 4pm for Sunset Cruise.

Pick up 7pm: Enjoy a spectacular dining experience – Dinner on the Helipad. The location is uniquely set atop an elevated position providing commanding views of the surrounding bush, with the most exquisite backdrop of the rising smoke emerging from the chasm of Batoka Gorge a kilometre away.

The crowning glory scene stealer is the unimaginable beauty of the most fantastic star strewn sky you will ever see – streaked regularly by shooting stars allowing wishes to be made in the most enchanting environment you’ll ever likely encounter. Overnight at Batonka Guest Lodge or other 4* accommodation. (Snacks & drinks on river cruise, Dinner).

NB: If there are not enough people booked for this event, an alternate restaurant will be offered.

Day 2


After breakfast at your hotel you will board a helicopter for the “Flight of Angels”. Pick up is 8am. It is an amazing journey over the 1700m vast curtain of water known locally as the “Mosi oa Tunya” (Victoria Falls, the smoke that thunders) and along the Zambezi River and the Zambezi National Park. Passengers are treated to an unforgettable helicopter journey comprising of 4 circuits (2 on either side) offering unrivalled spectacular views, photographic, and filming opportunities and putting the full breadth and height of The Falls into glorious perspective within the surrounding environment.

Around 10am your guide will take you for a guided tour of Victoria Falls before lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.

The afternoon can be spent at leisure, exploring the town or participating in some optional activities at own expense. Dinner tonight is at your hotel.

** There is a great opportunity to visit an authentic local village to see firsthand how the locals live, eat, sleep, work and generally survive on a day to day basis.

The villagers have no prior warning of your arrival and you will learn how they collect water with no modern plumbing or a simple tap to turn, keep their livestock safe from lions and other predators or read at night with no electricity to flick on a light and so much more!  

A day you will not forget and will definitely get you thinking on how many of our daily actions we take for granted!  + USD$50 p/p.

Day 3


Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel before departing your accommodation for the airport and your onward journey. (Breakfast)

NB: There are many additional activities and we can chop and change to suit your budget. This itinerary is the most efficient use of time with an exciting variety of activities.

Day 4


Grab an early morning breakfast before you head to Chobe in Botswana for a full day trip. The Safari package comprises of a Cruise on the Chobe River and a Game Drive in the world famous Chobe National Park. Be ready for pick up from 7am. You will return to your hotel approx 5.45pm.

Only an hour’s drive from Victoria Falls, the Chobe National Park in Botswana is home to one of the largest game concentrations in Africa. Bordered by the banks of the breath-taking Chobe River, it is famous for its rich elephant and lion population. The tour departs daily from Victoria Falls where guests are transferred by road for 70km to the border where their Botswana guide will meet them after immigration procedures. You will freshen up quickly before dinner.

NB: When applying for your Zimbabwe Visa, you must obtain a double entry visa to enable you to move between the two countries, Zimbabwe & Botswana.

Evening pick up 6.45pm. Your meal tonight will be a Boma Dinner, a unique cultural experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of Africa. The evening is accentuated by traditional dancers who captivate guests with their energetic songs and dance.

Tuck into a four-course meal, having a superb selection of traditional Zimbabwean dishes and their renowned warthog fillet. Everyone’s tastes are catered for, and whilst the adventurous are enticed with local delicacies such as Mopani worms and game stews, those wishing to enjoy beef, pork, fish and chicken or a variety of vegetarian meals are welcome to do so.  Overnight at Batonka Guest Lodge or other 4* accommodation. Batonka Lodge has 22 rooms beautifully appointed rooms. Each has a bathroom en-suite and balcony, are comfortably furnished and have, TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, universal chargers and a tea/coffee station.

There are two blocks of 6 rooms  and two blocks of 5 rooms, each carefully positioned around the property to give maximum privacy and views of a carefully tended garden.

11 of these rooms have a bathroom with a double basin vanity unit, bath, toilet and shower. The other 11 are the same but have no bath tub.

The rooms can all be converted from a twin room to a double room on request.

Housekeeping is provided daily.

The restaurant offers a full English Breakfast, and a delicious choice of wholesome home style cooking for lunch and dinner.

The main area has dining facilities, lounge areas, curio shop and the reception which is available to guests 24 hours a day. The dining facility can be either indoors or on a large spacious and outdoor terrace area overlooking the garden and swimming pool. There is a comfortable lounge area inside with a fireplace, and an outside lounge area is also available for guests.

Whilst Batonka Guest Lodge was built primarily with the visitor’s comfort in mind, the environmental aspect has always been a top priority.

The following features have been implemented in order for us to play a leading role in energy saving and respect for the environment:

  • Solar geysers for all the rooms.
  • Air conditioners that are ozone friendly  compliant.
  • Air conditioners that have inverters and consume 40% less power.
  • Grey water recycling into the gardens to conserve water.
  • Garden Irrigation systems on timers to conserve water.
  • Waste separation and organic waste used in vermiculture to produce vermicompost.
  • Led lighting to reduce electricity consumption.
  • Responsible towel and sheet laundering (to reduce water consumption).
